Experimenting with visual poetics

Of late, I have begun experimenting with the intersection of three things that particularly fascinate me: words, art, and photography. I have also been thinking a great deal about the idea of a poem, namely the poem being an elastic, fluid, hybrid entity. I recall once writing a poem about falling leaves on a fallen golden brown maple leaf as part of my first creative writing assignment during my undergraduate studies: the leaf was as much as a poem as the poem itself. It took me years to realise the latter though.

I have now begun exploring the idea of visual poetics, juxtaposing them with my art, namely water-colors, which is something I have been recently working with.

These poems are still raw, in progress, and still cast in a traditional structure and length. But I am looking forward to see how they grow and metamorphose into new entities with time.
